Welcome to the 2017 Regatta at Turangawaewae Marae.
The Regatta will take place over a three day period. 15th & 16th of March 2017 is set aside for primary and secondary school school kopapa racing which the main day will occur on the 18th March 2017. The Turangawaewae Regaata is the second oldest regatta of its kind in the South Pacific and Australia and promotes activities for over 5000 people on the main day.
Spectators are entertained by the many different cultural activities such as kapa haka, canoe or waka racing, marae tours, waka rides, side shows plus so much more!!!.
The stalls have an extremely important part to play in the success of the event and we encourage any organisation from schools, marae to commerical, iwi or government organisations to provide a wide variety of their goods and services to the general public.
Nau mai, haere mai!!
